Here is your chance to make a difference in the biking community! Become the Oberlin Event Coordinator for 4000 More and make this Spring awesome! Last year we worked with Oberlin College, The Bike Co-op, Beethoven’s Bagels, Old Barrows, and the State Parks of Ohio to create some great events, and get people riding and riding safely. What will be in store for this year will be up to the new coordinator, so, if this sounds exciting and something you are interested in, please apply by sending a cover letter and resume to 4000moreoberlin@gmail.com by March 15th. The position is open to anyone living in Oberlin, or attending Oberlin College.

Oberlin Community Bike Festival!

Hello!

4000 More is gearing up for a packed school year! The first thing on the schedule is the Oberlin Community Bike Festival! It is taking place in Tappan Square on Sunday, September 12 from 1:00-3:30pm. There will be bike, helmet, lock, and light giveaways, bike maintenance, and bike safety training! If that doesn’t entice you, there will also be an inflatable jungle gym and obstacle course, plus free food.

All are welcome, however if interested in helping 4000 More at the event, please contact us at 4000moreoberlin@gmail.com.

4000 More during the Summer

4000 More will not be active during the summer, but that doesn’t mean the membership can’t keep the spirit alive! Encourage your friends (and yourself!) to bike, wear helmets, and be safe on the road.. and get people together for fun rides! Bike to Chance Creek, The Lorain County Fair, Miller’s Apple Orchard, or anywhere else! 4000 More will return in the Fall, but if you have any questions or want help with anything biking related, feel free to contact us at 4000moreoberlin@gmail.com. This Sunday, start your day off right (or if you are an early bird, take a nice break), and join 4000 More for our Beethoven’s Bagels Bike Ride. We will meet in the middle of Tappen Square at 10am SHARP, and bike east on the bicycle path. Returning to Oberlin around 10:45, we will go to Beethoven’s Bagels and eat FREE Bagels! Members and non-members welcome!

Pimp My [bike] Ride!

4000 More and an ENVS101 group invite you to “Pimp my [bike]ride!“
It’s happening on Friday, May 7th from 3-5pm on the northwest side of Tappan Square.
Come get ready for the Big Parade by “pimping” your bike with colored handlebar tape, grips, and shiny bells for $1, and other bike gadgets and stickers for free!
**Also, the first 40 people to sign the helmet pledge get a free helmet!**
